VoIP ready for Prime Time and here to stay, according to new article in Network World

A recent article in Network World touts VoIP Telephony as having gone Mainstream based on the large number of Enterprise projects for businesses such as The New York Times Co., Amazon.com, Chicago public schools,University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and Bank of America. They site a study by the research firm Synergy Research Group that shows there has been a shift in the Market Dominance from traditional TDM based systems to IP enabled systems starting in the first quarter of 2006. They site the stability of the currently available systems as one of the reasons prompting the shift.
